About Me

I’m a Quality Engineer at EnBW, working in the e-mobility space. For over 20 years, I’ve been fascinated by one question: how do you make software more reliable? It’s a question that still keeps me going.

How I Got Here

I started out as a Java developer. Studied computer science in Karlsruhe, first through a dual study programme, then added a Master’s degree. After that, a few exciting years at CAS Software AG building configuration systems for Daimler commercial vehicles.

In 2008, I joined EnBW, and something shifted: I realized that software quality fascinated me just as much as writing code. So I deliberately moved into quality engineering and test management. Looking back, it was the best career decision I ever made — because now I understand both sides: the code and the testing strategy behind it.

Over the years, I’ve worked in very different settings — from large-scale projects with over 100 people involved to small, agile teams. I’ve built test automation frameworks, guided migrations, and introduced quality gates. Currently, I maintain the E2E tests for our EV charging infrastructure systems and spend a lot of time exploring AI-powered testing.

What Drives Me

I’m someone who likes to get to the bottom of things. My personality profile describes me as an “observing coordinator” — analytical, methodical, with high quality standards. That’s pretty accurate. I like it when things work cleanly, and I get restless when they don’t.

I bring that same thoroughness to my work with AI tools. What excites me isn’t the buzzword — it’s the concrete question: How can an AI agent actually improve a testing process? Where does it genuinely save time, and where does it just look impressive?

Why This Blog?

Quality Booster is my attempt to bring together two worlds that are just getting to know each other: traditional testing craft and AI-powered tools. I share what actually works in practice — and what doesn’t. Honest, no hype, with code examples.

Away from the Keyboard

When I’m not debugging test cases, you’ll find me behind a camera — I enjoy creative, unconventional photography. I also like tinkering with home automation, cycling, and spending time with my family.
